Alex's Lemonade Stand.

For those of you who haven't yet heard of this amazing little girl here it is:

Alex was almost one when they found her cancer, the doctors said that she wouldn't be able to walk if they beat her cancer but by her 2nd birthday she was crawling and learning to walk. But within the next year the doctors found that her tumors were growing back again. The day after her 4th birthday she told her mom, "when I get out of the hospital I want to have a lemonade stand." She told her mom that she was going to give the money to the doctors so they could help other kids like they helped her. Her first lemonade stand that she had she raised $2000 dollars for "her hospital." She held her lemonade stand every year and other kids around the nation started to as well donating all the money they made. In 2004 little Alex died when she was 8. Her lemonade stands and others raised over 1 million dollars.

That is so amazing to me that this little girl, who was suffering from the beginning of her life till the end, only cared for the other little kids that had the same disease that she had. She was sooo full of service. I think i'm going to have a lemonade stand.

So dear alex, you are one of my new heroes and such an amazing example to me.

If you want to read more of her story or even volunteer just check it out here. :)

love, nani.
